r there any Bugatti's in Canada or were there any authorized dealers here when they sold the EB110? Chris
I don't believe the EB110 was ever legal in Canada. So I am pretty sure there are no authorized dealerships. I'm not sure if anybody has a grey-market EB110 in Canada, but I'm sure others in this section are FAR more knowledgeable than I am... Welcome to FerrariChat car_freak 55!
Indeed there are Bugattis in Canada (Real French Bugattis), although I'm not sure if any of the EB 110 GT or EB 110 Supersport models where ever sold to Canada! There was only one dealer of the "Italian Bugattis" in the World in the nineties and that was Bugatti Automobili SPA....the factory itself! There was a single authorized agent in Japan, but only an agent, not an authorized dealer! The EB 110 GT was a clean World homologated car and I'm pretty sure it was also street legal in Canada! Several of the real French Bugattis from the tventies and thirties are owned by Canadian enthusiasts today! Best regards Carsten
Carsten, Thanks for your comments, I was unaware that the EB110 was legal in Canada. The only Bugatti I've ever seen, was a Type 35 at a major restoration company a few years ago - absolutely gorgeous! Andrew
Gentry Lane had an EB110 years ago. And I think there is another one floating around T.O. someplace. That was when Gentry Lane was the place to be if you wanted really cool and different stuff. Too bad its not like it used to be.
You MUST fill us in!!! Also, Carsten great to see you on these parts of f-chat I am still waiting for your response (PM) with regards to what we were talking about a couple of weeks ago. Cheers, Vasco
Here's a picture I took of an old one at the mapleview car show in burlington. http://givemealook.com/ipw-web/gallery/album600/Mapleview_035
lol I honestly have no idea. I don't know much about old cars, I just took the pic because it said Bugatti lol
Damn, thats to bad, im quite a fan of older bugatti's, i dont know why but ive got a soft spot for them..... Just look at this: http://64.34.99.133/wallpaper/1935_bugatti_type_57sc_atlantic-800.jpg Isn't that thing just awesome?
Regarding old Bugatti, the two that were owned by the late Jean-Paul Riopelle were auctionned off about 2 years ago in Montreal with the rest of his collection. One (type 57 Letourneur) was acquired by the Demers brothers that have quite a collection (Dino, F40...) Dunno were the 57c Gangloff is now.
Thanks Vasco, I will reply your PM, but I'm still waiting for Tina to find out how much she wants for the subject....after all it's her subject I'm selling (Try PM Tina/Mrs_Bugattiart)
The link does not seem to work proper anymore.......can I ask you to post the pic or another link to the photo? Best Carsten
There are only two automotive names that mean anything: Bugatti and Ferrari. The rest are just transportation.
That car is awesome....it's a 1936 Bugatti Type 57SC Atlantic, and it bears the chassis number 57374 and is owned by Dr. Peter D. Williamson from Lyme, New Hampshire, USA! One of only three Atlantics ever built by the Molsheim factory! Another Atlantic is also in the US and owned by fashion king Ralph Lauren, namely the 1938 Bugatti Type 57SC Atlantic chassis number 57591......both cars have won the prestigeous Pebble Beach Concours d'Elegance. Lauren's car won in 1990 and Williamson's in 2003! The last of the cars is and has always been in France and is owned by well known Chairman of "Gaumont Films" Nicolas Seydoux. His car is somewhat different in design from it's two American sisters, but equally as beautiful if not more beautiful than the two others! Seydoux's car is chassis number 57473 and is often confused to be the Williamson car although very much different in appearance and colour! Sorry for my getting carried away with all my Bugatti histories.......just wanted to tell you about the car in your picture Best Carsten
Sorry, I overlooked this in your post...here's just one example of Bugattis in Canada: http://www.theguildofautomotiverestorers.com/1934_bugatti.htm For sale actually Best Carsten
Yes, i've seen this car online. Cool story though. A Canadian woman from toronto buys 2 Bugatti's!? With a name Shaw....hmm....I wonder. V.
