Bugatti Confirms It Will Debut Something New at Monterey Car Week This Year

Could this be another limited-run special?

During Monterey Car Week last year, Bugatti unveiled a car few people were expecting: The Divo (pictured above), a $6 million limited-production version of the Chiron designed for track work. Now, it seems Bugatti has another surprise in the works for us at Monterey this year.

A few days ago, TheSupercarBlog.com reported that Bugatti would unveil a new ultra-limited car during Monterey Car Week 2019. We reached out to Bugatti regarding the validity of this claim, and here's what a spokesperson told us:

"As our President, Stephan Winkelmann, has promised many times, we will have two novelties for our customers, fans and the media each year. The first one in 2019 was La Voiture Noire at Geneva International Motor Show in March, the second one will be shown at The Quail in August. We won’t comment on the nature of this premiere, though, ahead of the unveiling."
The Quail is one of several car show held in Monterey during Car Week. So basically, yes, Bugatti is definitely bringing something new to Monterey 2019. Hell yeah. What exactly that thing is, we're not sure. It could be another hyper-expensive, massively capable limited-production car like the Divo, or another one off like the La Voiture. Or it could be something completely different.

Bugatti ruled out producing an SUV earlier in the year, so we can safely say it's not that. And last time we heard about the possibility of a Bugatti sedan was back in 2016. So who knows. We'll just have to wait until August to find out for sure. We hope you're as excited as we are."
