Is that a 250 GTO heading in the opposite direction in the first shot? Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
Replica, I believe (the 250 GTO, obviously). This Bugatti was at Pebble Beach, wasn't it? I think this one and the white/blue one were there for Pebble Beach, presentation to some people (I know the blue/white drove around) and photoshoot in NV.
That pic was taken in Monterey, hence the "ocean ave" sign. If that was taken in Aug, Then I would suspect the 250 to be real.
betcha it's the fake (pardon me, the 'recreation') from "Family Classics" in soCal.......... see it in CC pix many weekends..... james
So th GTO displayed was a real one? Always thought it was replica or rebuild for some reason ... You dumba$$:
Yes, the pic is slightly old - from the Monterey weekend timeframe. I still think it's funny seeing "1001hp" stuck in traffic like that. >8^) ER
250 GTO Imagine driving your 250 down the road, seeing a MILLION DOLLAR Buggati and writing it off as cheap..
or another way to look at it... Assume an average $50k amount per car (being generous) with about what looks to be approx 80 (~20 per lane) cars in that picture and that 250 GTO is still worth more even if you include the Veyron into their price tag. Yikes...
