Doubtful, 57374 was by far the best of two remaining Type 57S Atlantics. Arguably the Type 57S Atlantic is the most beautiful and iconic automobile ever produced. Negotiations have been ongoing with more than one buyer since the good Doctor Williamson passed away. I understand that more than one party were discussing purchases the mid thirty million dollar range.

    Hello Dave,
Certainly you are right. Seventy-five years ago the person buying "Nu au Plateau de Sculpteur" has come out way ahead. I do wonder though - seventy-five years from now in, 2085, which will be more revered. I know which I prefer.

While its impossible to say that any object is "worth" a given price, I do wish Ettore was able to get prices like this when he was alive ;)
