The new Fchat software seems to be rather slow using Internet Explorer. Netscape seems to load quite a bit faster but when you try to start a new topic or reply to a message it looks like this:

I also tried Off by One which bills itself as the worlds smallest (1.1mb) and fastest web browser. http://offbyone.com/

It gives a "stripped down" look and the is very fast.

    Problems:

It doesn't seem to remember log ins very well

None of the formatting buttons work, rather than inserting bits of code they send me back to ferrarichat.com.

What other browsers have people tried?

Mark, I agree - the new software is soooo slow with IE.

Try Opera. It's great. I don't have the URL but it's something like Operasoftware or Opera.com. Search for it - you won't be dissapointed.

I have been using Mozilla since a few releases before 1.0

    http://www.mozilla.org

It's cross-platform (works under Linux, Windows, Mac OS X, and a few more), it's fast, it has useful features (tabbed browsing, like in Opera), and it's stable.

I agree with Ronald Steinhoff 100³% that Opera is the way to go for browsing. Period.

    http://www.opera.com/

It crushes the competition in far more ways than speed. Without peer in many ways - for example - next time you log on to 'net, it will also have saved multiple windows for starting where you left off, if you so desire.
Some more ++: On Quick Preferences, you can choose how you want pop-ups handled:
Accept, Refuse, Open in Background, Open requested only.
    It will also mimic browsers:
Identify as Opera, Mozilla 5.0, Mozilla 4.78, Mozilla 3.0, IE 6.0

I'm not having any problems using avantbrowser...even though it's an add-on to IE.

My requirements in a browser are that it's fast, stable, cross-platform, and uses tabs.

    First choice: Opera - www.opera.com
    Second choice: Mozilla - www.mozilla.org

Both of these make you wonder why you ever put up with IE.
