Hi, Has anyone out there used Brisk racing plugs, I have heard some superb write ups on them with apparent proven Hp gains, I did contact Brisk Usa as I wasn't exactly sure which one to use, they emailed me the following comment:
''The DOR 14 LGS is the exactly same plug, just uses 5/8 hex socket for removal instead of 13/16 (LOR
    14 LGS).
However we recommend use DOR 14 LGS-T (reduced gap) unless you have upgraded the factory ignition
    system''

The above quoted numbers are for a 308qv/mondial qv

I know of some who have problems with these on 2 stroke karts with the tips breaking off and causing damage, but 15000rpm 2 stroke karts are a world away from ferrari engines, if anyone has any advice, experiences or problems with these plugs it would be great to hear from you

Haven't used the Brisk LGS, but their "RACING IRIDIUM" is virtually identical to the NGK "IX" Iridium except the Brisk are 1.5~2X the NGK price.

Interesting that they seem to make all types of the spark plug "technologies" (and, of course, each one is "superior" to all others in some way ;)).

Although the radially symmetric designs, without the reach-over-the-top second electrode, probably do benefit from the fact that they are always "well-indexed" regardless of how installed and more "unshrouded", the second electrode is so large, that for a street car, it runs too cool to be reliably self-cleaning.

For a big, beefed-up Lambo engine running always at near-constant maximum output, I'm sure those LGS are great, but, for a rationally-used street F, I think you'd be better off with the IX or RACING IRIDIUM -- JMO -- what's your application?

I would pay good attention to what spark plug you install. I only can give you exampels of engines with forced induction wich have more stress during the combustion and are more sensibel to the spark plugs. On this we had several broken engine due to the "wonder" spark plugs from some manufacturers. Also from brisk and others. I would only recommand bosch or ngk with attention to the right heat index. To the new trend of iridium we've found out for our engines that this didn't have the good ignition characteristics like an platinum sparkplug .. the spark will get blown out by the inducted air more easy on the iridium then on a good platium. So i only use platinum as sparkplug.

Hi, Interesting reading, I have a Mondial 3.0 Qv, which I will be fitting nitrous to shortly, it will be used for trackdays and speed trials, and also normal to fast road use, I was going for the brisk as I heard so many good things about them, but not from actual Ferrari owners/users

I have been using Brisk LGS (can't remeber the no though) for 5 years in my 85 EURO QV. I had no issues what so ever. I can redline the car in 5th gear. The only mods are sport exhaust (unknown brand) and Brisk plugs.

I did not drive the car much before I changed the plugs, since I did a major service when I bought it. It however runs strong I had no problem keeping up with a 328 in Germany recently. The p/n is: DOR14LGS.

Hi, Try Brisk direct, I know somewhere on there site they have a cross reference section, which if you check your plugs you should be able to find out, I have enclosed a couple of links which might help, as far as I can see you should need:BOR12LGS, but please double check this before buying, the link at the bottom refers to the Mondial T which as you know is the same engine as yours, Hope this helps Pete
