There's no time limit to bad behavior. If the posts in question are from this week, this year, last year or the beginning of time, they ADD UP. It may not be his last post that was, on its own, worthy of a permanent ban, it's his BODY OF WORK.

If the Beatles had only recorded "I Want to Hold Your Hand" and then disappeared, would we all be talking about them today? Nope. Same with Ed. If he had posted one offensive remark, or gotten a one day ban and then come back and been a model citizen, we wouldn't be on post 151 on this thread, he'd just be another guy here getting along, posting interesting stuff, flying under the radar and not offending the senses of many of us here.

So, let's just drop this. You're not convinced he's a problem, but the admin and the moderators are, along with plenty of folks who have sent me PMs over the weeks and months, including several over the past few days who upon seeing some of what Ed has done, are no longer posting long and loud in this thread.
