The forum contains several threads concerning tool kits but I cannot find the answer to the following... Tool kit briefcases fall broadly into 2 types: those with 'flip out' catches and those with 'flip up' catches. I hope that's clear, tell me if it isn't! My question relates to those briefcases with 'flip out' catches and it is this... Are the tool briefcases for the early Boxers identical to those for the GTC/4? Specifically, are they the same depth (7 cm)? In the parts lists early Boxer tools are arranged in 2 layers, without a spark plug spanner (wrench). GTC/4 tools are arranged in 3 layers and include a spark plug spanner. Is the briefcase identical for both these arrangements, or is the 2 layer arrangement in a thinner case?
