Thanks Dan! looking forward to Monday! Its looking pretty crowded in your shop so i'm sure you'll be glad to make the space, but take youre time
No - it was too hectic - no mention. Spare parts are already in storage - Ted - PM me with a hint for what I'm looking for, I have a ton of spare parts. Had to put her away tonight - expecting snow tonight/tomorrow. Erik
Update - can went back to Bradan for a variety of smaller issues - "This is the red mondial 3.2 we recently serviced. The owner noticed an intermediate rough running issue. This was a very difficult issue to locate until we reached the engines ECU. We found the previous owner "retrofitted" another thermocouple ECU and the wiring harness was damaged. "The head unit was found to no longer work. We replaced it with an updated Alpine unit with XM radio. The wiring harness was cleaned up and all aftermarket equipment was removed. With the radio now working, we found that only one speaker works in the car. It never ends.... " <- Daniel's attempt at being funny! In all honesty, I can't thank them enough. Don't know too many shops that would be working past midnight on a client's car trying to get it done asap. Thanks guys! Erik
We noticed a fuel vapor smell from this vehicle when left overnight. All rubber fuel lines were replaced with Gates hose. The fuel accumulator was also replaced. We are seeing more and more cars with cracking lines. I suspect age and E85 additive to fuel is eating through older lines. Thermocouple ecu ? kinda.... Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
And another fun surprise..... a hair line crack in one of the return fuel line nipples on the gas tank. I think it's safe to say this played a major role in the fuel vapor smell. Erik, wanna come get a drink with me? Image Unavailable, Please Login

We ended up just dropping the motor to gain access to the fuel tanks and all hoses. The other fuel tank was found to be previously repaired. Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
More fuel lines installed and tanks back in. Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
The last remaining issue we noticed road testing in traffic was a high oil temperature. The fan motor was found to be stuck. It was rebuilt and now working correctly. Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
This car is for sale - I'm looking for a quick sell, $27,000 takes it. For reference, I bought this car for $22,000 before putting all of this work into her. In addition to what you see here, she has a brand new top (never took outside yet) and a new gasket between the top and the glass. New glass windshield as well. The only issues that haven't been resolved are some paint chips on the lights (there is another thread with the pics) - quote of $1,200, never brought it to body shop. Reason for sale? Divorce - 3 of my 4 Ferrari's have to go - quickly! The other is an '87 Mondial and a '95 355. Please email me at [email protected] if interested. All cars located in NY. Thanks, Erik EDIT: For those asking, I put another ~$32,500 into this car, for a total of $44,500 - only looking for $27,000.
