A film installer overtightened the hood emblem cracking the stripe. Our certification and partnership with Glasurit comes with many benefits. Having the OEM product support help us achieve a perfect finish. We had Glasurit take a photo of the sticker and mix matching paint. Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login

I don't understand ...first you matched the green color and then it is a decal ..confused ? Sent from my Moto G (4) using Tapatalk
I’m not sure if this clarifies or not: Tricolore stripe: Ferrari offered the Tricolore stripe as an option for the Challenge Stradale. Back in 2003/2004, this was a $5479 / €4650 / £3100 option, and only 20%-25% of the cars were fitted with a factory Tricolore stripe. Many owners added a cheaper "sticker" stripe to their car after taking delivery. The easiest way to spot a factory stripe, is to see if it's under the clear coat. A stripe installed by the factory should be placed under the clear coat and thus you cannot "feel" the stripe. An aftermarket stripe is a sticker on top of the paint. It's easy to apply/remove and shouldn't cost more than a few 100 dollars. A few common mistakes with aftermarket stripes are listed below. For example, the stripe shouldn't run through the FERRARI logo on the rear decklid. Source: http://www.challenge-stradale.com/wiki.html
The factory stripes were stickers under the clearcoat, they weren't painted. Sent from my BBB100-3 using Tapatalk
The factory stripe is 100% a sticker decal. Straight from the factory it's covered in fish eyes in the clear above the decal, DA sanding marks on the borders and even solvent pop in some areas. Our goal was to repair a tiny crack correctly and we prayed we could just blow paint over the crack with an exact color match, minimizing the repair area. We got the color match correct but elected to pull the full stripe, reinstall a factory stripe, then clear coat over it.
That now makes sense ..thanks for clearing that up Nice work as always Sent from my Moto G (4) using Tapatalk

Just curious ..maybe obvious but why not sand the whole hood and spray the full surface ? Sent from my Moto G (4) using Tapatalk
Paint naturally changes color from UV exposure so the color is different from a new mix. The hood boarders the fenders, bumper, etc. So we wanted to keep the original paint that touches the neighboring panels and just blend the color in the middle where its not as obvious.
