I'm really enjoying working on this car. The most difficult part has been sourcing discontinued parts.
Parts-wise, MB has a 'classic' division that should be able to source much of what you need - I'm certain you know about it judging from the parts pics. Re: the oil filter, frequently a rubber washer (#2 on this pic) is missing, causing filter to fit and function improperly. Looks like you guys are doing a great job.
I believe they claim to have every part for every car they've ever made. Doesn't mean it's cheap and doesn't mean it's ready to ship right away. I could be mistaken, but I think they sent me something that said that. Love classic Benz - 190sl is in my near future. Erik
Most of the parts were sourced from our local dealer. Some parts are no longer made while others take forever to get.
