I had a chance (made the time) to work on my gearbox. The main shaft ring nut would only turn a 1/4 turn each way and stop. I was concerned the threads were balling up and would mean a major meltdown if my main shaft threads were destroyed. I used a cutting wheel and made an ugly mess but got the nut off with no damage to the shaft. Main shaft out, syncros checked and look great on 4th and 5th so the box is ready for stripping then back together it'll go! Im over the hump, its going back together. I committed myself to EFI this week with the cam selection I made. No CIS car would run with what I opted for! Ill run a single haltech platinum 2000 to control the EFI but run the stock distributor with an MSD6A. The car will look very much stock but be leaps and bounds ahead.

Wow, That is a lot of rusty internal parts. How long did the car sit without being driven?

Yeah thats the plan. I can use one haltech 2000 to run the fuel injection. To run ignition its another $2K+. I rebuilt the distributor and had it the advance curve checked, its perfect so why not.

That works. Tuning the fuel delivery match the ignition will be a snap. Looking forward to this one Paul. I have seen an injected Boxer get 'the treatment' like this before.
