Thanks for that, John. Of the Vignales I've seen, more have been race than road- but I hadn't seen that detail in an Fcar yet. Still something to get used to- I will have to look at Marcel's books the next chance I get to see what the interior would look like 'as built' with this feature. Cheers, Dave
Forgive my ignorance, but what is "engine turning".....I guess the 2 tone dash is wrong and perhaps the alu-look material behind the dials. For the rest it looks ok to me. The dials and knobs are ok, although I never saw white turning signal and light knobs. ciao Oscar ps love that the actual content of this thread is moving from finance to facts......
There is no question the bidders at the up coming January sales will be hooked into FCHAT via pda and will be basing their bids soley on what I say here.
Jim, Undoubtedly, it was you also making the bomb threats in Aspen to spoil everyone's New Years eve plans as well??!!! I've also heard through channels that your application request to God on influencing the tides is moving along nicely. Best to you, -M. Saxon
It's always pleasant just when you've uncorked the bubbly and are relaxing in the hot tub to get a reverse 911 call telling you you have to evacuate immediately as Aspen's about to blow up. Seriously sad for the shops and restaurants. Happy New Year!!
*shaking head sadly* And I thought missing the Russian Babe's 2AM text, was a tragedy......battery was dead on the phone and I was in bed with the flu..parked the Ferrari about 9PM!
Ciao Marcel Take a look at Ferrari Market Letter, for ex. volume 10, number 11 from June 1985: 3 x 250 TdF LWB 1 x 250 SWB 6 x 275 GTB/4 212/225 S/N 0170 500 Mondial S/N 0434 750 Monza S/N 0462 121 LM S/N 0532 2 x 250 SWB Comp. S/N 1613 and 1875 2 x 250 LM S/N 5899 S/N 6023 275 GTB/C S/N 9063 2 365 GTB/4 Comp. S/N 12467 and 15373 etc., all in a single Market Letter! (to mention only the more potent and important cars) Do I need to say more? This was the time before the arrogance and greed of bankers and other stupid bonus boys. I don't think that the world will learn from what has happen in the past years. The good old Ferrari (and other great marks) times are gone unfortunatly. Nevertheless, have a great 2009. RS
Thats all good, completely understand. But in furthering one's cause, whichever side of the fence one happens to be, at least put forth numbers that are factual, not erroneous or purely speculative, as this thread has shown is occurring all-too-often..
I came across this car last week. It has now a 209 V12 engine. I would like to know more details about it. May be it is not the original 2965? Is it the original still in Japan? It seems (somebody told me) the car came from Morocco to Europe (to Nederland -Holand-) and then to Spain. Is there any way to know its true chassis number? Thanks
