Good...The Euro F40 was actually a pretty good buy considering the market. In Europe they are going for more than that with more kms.

Shows the massive disconnect between auction price and retail. Testarossas with that few miles in the uk and rhd are asking over double that price..!

"The Euro-spec, adjustable suspension 1989 Ferrari F40 has been sold twice in 2015, once by Barrett-Jackson in January and again by Mecum at Monterey in August. On both occasions it grossed around $1.1m. This, and a catalogue description stating that “the original owner had reported that the car had undergone some damage repair in Italy (not by the factory)”, will not inspire today’s super-picky Ferrari supercar buyer."

4cam was bid to 2.5 million, not certain if anyone was actually bidding on it. 575M got somewhere north of 500, don't recall the exact amount but it was well below estimate.

Some confusion there. It appeared to be a No Sale on the block but as the auction was in progress it showed as a sale at $950,000 in the online results. Probably just a mistake.

this was also true from 2008 to 2010 when no one was buying cars - whether its a bull or bear market, asking prices are always higher than prices that print

Market developments are never the result of only one aspect, but one aspect is currently particularly at play here, and that is market anticipation on a dollar rise (and/or euro downfall). I suspect Ferrari prices in dollar terms will be quite soft for some time to come.
