Without going into boring detail, I have what could be considered the worst luck with cars... So I didn't expect much different with my new Ferrari ownership experience, just wasn't expecting it to be so soon. My car was delivered yesterday morning, so I hopped in and took it for a spin. Disaster didn't wait long however. While waiting for an opening to pull out of my neighborhood, some crazy old nursing home escapee guy came sailing down the sidewalk on his giant tricycle........right into the side of my car that I had only officially owned for about 30 seconds. The results weren't too horrendous, but I did receive a small dent in the fender just over the front passenger side wheel, a 12" scrape on the bumper (took the paint right off), and a 12" gouge just behind the front wheel that goes straight down to the metal.

So... part of my bad luck with cars has been with repair shops. Can anyone recommend a good bodyshop within an hour of Tampa? I'm looking to get this done asap just to get it out of the way..any suggestions appreciated.

Ugh! I feel bad for you, I had a similar thing happen to me not too long ago.
I believe the only Ferrari authorized body shop in Florida is down in Pompano (north Ft Lauderdale). It's not exactly Tampa, but I wouldn't take my F-car anywhere else. They are called 1st Class European Authorized Coachworks and their web site is www.1stclassauto.com the number is 954 785-3784. Good luck!

Robin, sorry to hear this! Besides the dealer in Orlando, there is another exotic car dealer in that same area. Can't remember the name.....they sell Lambo's. I am sure someone will read this and chime in with the name. Good luck. I won't ask what you did to the guy on the bike.

I've used them for a slant nose conversions (Porsche) a few years ago, did an awesome job. I've seen quite a few Porsche mods in the state, they have done the best job I've seen. They are in St. Petersburg, I think owner's name
was Ron. Email if you want more info. They do quite a few high end cars, seen quite a few Ferrari's there.

Robin, I do not know if you have had the work done yet but Gene Perez Auto Body in Tampa off of Anderson just north of the airport fixed up my wifes 2004 BMW 745i. They did an outstanding job and they work mostly on higher end or exotic cars.
