For a potential purchase, I recently saw a California that had the Blu Mirabeau exterior (see enclosed pictures from configurator). I liked it and I liked the contrast with the red lights.

Most people I talked to like it too (including my girlfriend) but a few male friends of mine said that the color was absolutely not right.

    What do you think?

If not this color, only the red would do for me.

SS1- Need real photos. Cannot tell much from the configurator. See if it is in here:

    Nope, not there.

If you like it, who cares what anyone else thinks? It is your money and your car. The metallic blues are generally more popular, like TdF, but if you like it, go for it.

Thanks. Some links with cars in Blu Mirabeau. It is a metallic blue.

I never thought about that color before, as a red california was on top of my list. But after I saw it at my dealer, I liked it. However, I do not want a car that may look weird (several friends said strongly that it would not be right). I guess red would be the choice. But what do you think?

Tour De France and Pozzi blu are popular colors too.

SS1- That is a beautiful color and looks great on the California and the 599 with the Novitec NF-3s. I would jump on that like a chicken on a Junebug. Plus you will likely not see another one that color at any Ferrari gathering.

I agree with Taz. It really is a personal thing. If you see a color and it makes your heart beat faster, thats a color for you. BMB looks really great when its clean, when it gets dirty it can look a little flat, which is a risk of any color with a clear coat. It's also a slightly (IMHO) feminine color- BUT- I don't care. I think it looks great and if I were ordering a California, Id be leaning towards BMB with Sabbia (light color interior- blu scuro dash (dark dark blue- almost black)) or Tour de France (TDF) with a tan interior. Blue stitching. Ohhh ahhhh---- I think the BMB looks great on the California. There is absolutely nothing "wrong" with it- unless it doesn't do it for you. Just do a lot of searching for blu mirabeau and see what you see. Oh yeah, never use the configuration to make judgements- its just not that accurate. The best thing is to see it in person. Heres another picture I found, the interior is not my taste but it is dramatic

I'll bet in sunlight that looks fantastic. But then, blue is my favorite color. Get what YOU like!

I'm with Fjerry... it looks quite attractive even if I prefer something darker. And a light interior would be quite the knockout. Even Cuoio would look stunning...

Thank you for all your comments!

The California I recently saw at the FM dealer (used car, already sold), while waiting for my car that was being serviced, had this magnificent Blu Mirabeau exterior as well as red calipers.

Let me tell you that my heart went "boum" immediately. It was so classy with this particular blue (not dark, not light). The red lights and the red calipers added a special contrast.

Red was always my color of choice for Ferrari but I thought that the California and its gorgeous shape was enhanced by the exterior color. And it would be magnificent with a beige or cuoio interior with blue stitching.

Like FJerry said, I could understand that the exterior color might tend a little bit to be on the "feminine" side and that's what a few of my friends were saying. But I think it was so classy and still masculine.

Here are a couple of pics of my Avio Blue, Sabbia interior with navy inserts. I LOVE the Avio blue, I'm sure BMB is fantastic as well although I've never seen it in person. Don't be afraid to go with something a little different. Whatever you decide, it will be great!

Blu Mirabeau is a gorgeous colour IMO. One of the pics one of you posted was from HR Owen in London and I saw it in person a while ago. It looks great.
    I personally would prefer it with a black roof....but that's personal ;-)

I think as a few people said in here go for the colour you like best. Most of them are good and should not affect sale as long as you don't really go crazy!

    Enjoy in good health.

Nice car! I don't think I have ever seen the side mirror F430 script in a contrasting color before.

You also have the front intakes painted as well correct? Is it just the lighting in the picture? Either way it looks fantastic. I absolutely love your 430. I was considering a Scud in that color. I think it suits the car very well.

I like to see Ferraris in more subtle colors. I think it adds class to the car. I have owned a total three Ferraris and they have all been red. If I had more than one Ferrari at a time I would consider choosing a color other than red.

An acquaintance of mine used to own a 550 in Blu Tour de France with Cuoio Naturale Leather and it was absolutely stunning.
