People who are based in the UK just wanted to make everyone aware in case they are thinking of buying a Gallardo Spyder beware of this one

You might recall my Lambo that I have it was white then I wrapped it gold well that had endless issues with the engine and we ended up getting a report done and the following faults were found NONE OF WHICH were mentioned at selling point. In the end I managed to reject the car and it has now gone back.

    The number plate is LF06KTD
    Vin: ZHWGE22T16LA03753

This car is messed up below is the report:

    AC Mechanical Repairs

    Lamborghini Gallardo 5.0 Spyder
    (LF06KTD) ZHWGE22T16LA03753 - 38?942.

    Diagnostic Report/Vehicle Condition Report.

On initial inspection vehicle found to have excessive oil/blue smoke admitting from exhaust banks, more
noticeable on the right side exhaust tail pipe trim/oil deposits.
Further testing revealed average cylinder compression results of between 8 ? 9.5 bar (120 -145 psi), Visual
inspection ?borescope? revealed right hand engine cylinder head damage marks (Possible valve to head
damaged) and possible machining marks from cylinder head work, heavy oil deposits, scoring on cylinder
bores ?pictures attached? Left hand engine cylinder revealed much the same with oil run marks within the
combustion chamber, light scoring marks and heavy oil deposits within the combustion chamber and valve
    train assembly's on both banks.
    ?Possible damaged block/piston rings.
?Cylinder head damage/excessive oil deposits within combustion chamber.
?Engine block seems to be a different colour compared to the axillary's bolted to it.
?Cylinder heads stamped with engineering shop id?s, after head work/repairs.
?Steering rack not located corrected and nearside track rod end Gaitor split.
?Offside inner CV Gaitor split leaking grease.
?Coolant dripping from underbody metal coolant pipes.
?Silicone Located on top of coli pack engine covers.
    ?Poorly refitted Boot lid.
    ?Gear change poor/erratic
?General Engine bay condition/cleanness, pipes covered in oil, air intake pipes damaged/broken
?Engine bay trim broken/damaged ?see pictures?
In my professional opinion would recommend full engine strip and further investigation into the ongoing issue,
but can clearly see that the engine is worn, allowing the oil to pass by the piston rings and being burnt within
the combustion chamber resulting in the heavy deposits in the combustion chamber and valve train.
Please find attached pictures and compression results recorded.

I feel for anyone that will be tricked into buying this car, please DO NOT do it, DM me I will tell you everything about the car as I have lost thousands of Pounds over this

This is to simply make everyone aware of the car as I don't want anyone else to go through what I have.

Not a very complete report though. Why no cylinder leakage test? And the engine blocks on those are always shiny in appearance compared to their surrounding castings...nonetheless, glad you got your money back, shocking that garages are getting away with selling cars with so many issues!

I HAVEN'T got my money back, now received threats due to me giving bad review on auto trader, they have relisted the car on auto trader for £79,995 with the car still faulty.

I dont understand how garage's get away with this seriously.

Sadly things like this happen far too often...

I was reading a post on Pistonheads this morning requesting information about a particular 360 Spider that a chap was looking at - the first reply was that it was a recorded write-off 9 years ago..

Unsurprisingly this hadn't been mentioned in the sales blurb!

I am not a member of pistonheads but this should be reposted on there to avoid someone being in my position

    Hi

I can't believe you haven't got your cash back- is it imminent or now a legal matter?

    Regards

    Michael

So after I left a autotrader review after they had already relisted the car and are in possession of it I received threats that "you have escalated this to a whole new level" and was told I wont be getting any money and going to go to the legal team now.

You gave them the car without getting repayment, and left a bad review? You should've waited a while in my opinion, but you are still entitled to a refund. Hopefully you have proof of everything you stated in a review for public ingestion? Go see a lawyer quick as you can, be sure to identify the original posted review and get it saved (in case anyone nefariously changes it) and get the documentation in order for the issues and faults. Diarise every event, and try to record (or at least time/date write down) any communications from them especially any even innocuous that could indicate threats to retain your monies or anything else.

I've had similar situations, but I've always been able to get my money, I can't disclose my methods fully here, but it does depend upon the type of characters you are dealing with, and when I've had issues, it was a long time ago, as a younger man, buying £5000-£10000 cars, not £70-100,000 lambos at the time, and that means the dealerships with whom you were dealing tended to be more illegitimate and therefore more likely to take my 'customed' approach to repayment when a car was less than honestly advertised
