You can also buy a battery tender extension cable (search on Amazon) for a few dollars. This extends the low-voltage side.

I use such a cable so that I can snake it out under the driver-side door (rather than passenger side), so I'm guaranteed to never drive off with it attached. I have enough length that the tender sits forward of the front left corner.

I use these also, they are great.

I absolutely love your garage floor!
I have my tender plugged in just behind the drivers seat. Took about 15 minutes to do. Just remove the back cover and connect it to the battery posts.

Here you go for sharing in case anyone is interested.

    Situation / Issue:
    - My garage is tight. I cannot fully open the passenger side door to connect the battery charger connector :(

    - Even if I can fully swing my passenger side door open I have to find the connector dongle (tucked away behind the foot rest) to connect the battery tender connector.

    - I still have to use both hands to mate the male and female connector and I need to use a flashlight to mate the connectors properly as its dark under the foot rest and I dont want to accidentally short circuit the connection.

    - My battery tender cable is a little short.

    - I am worried that I may forget to disconnect the battery tender connector and just drive out of my garage with the connectors still mated.

    Target:
I want a simple one handed plug and play hook up of battery tender connector.
I dont want to ever worry about forgetting to unhook the battery tender before I drive off.

    FYI:
My battery charger is NOCO Genius Battery Charger G3500 (3.5 amps) Great battery charger for my new Odyssey AGM battery.

    Amazon.com: NOCO Genius Battery Charger - 3500mA G3500: Automotive

So here is what I did to solve my issue:

I bought the NOCO dashmount battery quick disconnect / Battery strength indicator:
Amazon.com: NOCO Genius GC016 12V Dashmount Battery Indicator: Automotive

I bought their charger extension cable:
Amazon.com: NOCO Genius GC004 10' Extension Cable: Automotive

I mounted the battery tender dashmount quick disconnect / battery strength indicator in between the side view mirror heater and Sport Switch. I hooked up the other end of the cable straight to the car battery.

Note: Its not a perfect fit so you must file down a bit the switch hole.

I then attached the battery tender 10 foot extension cable to the battery charger.

    Problem solved!

Now I can very easily connect and disconnect my battery charger connector to the installed dash mount.

Simple plug and play connection using 1 hand.

I never have to worry about possibly forgetting to disconnect the battery charger connector before I drive off as I can see the cable running across my dashboard.

One thing I also did instead of plugging and unplugging the battery charger power cable to my outlet strip I installed a dedicated power strip to use as an On Off switch to turn the battery charger on and off.

Another great feature of the NOCO dashmount disconnect is it has 4 LED's that displays the charge level of the battery. I can run my stereo and not worry about if I have enough battery power to restart the car.

I did a test today and at 25% I still have enough battery power to start the car.
