I agree,though,only with the original,as pictured,version....after that,with all the add-on plastics,it went out the window...IMO
Generally they are over a hundred, but there are a few stragglers out there among early cars, but really just for a short time, as they look to be primed to take off. People just don't get 612. It's just a highly reliable, modern F1, aluminum chassis, front/mid V12 with 540hp with every inch of the four passenger interior bathed in leather for under $100k. Gorgeous beast, too, if you ask me. And yes, I'm biased.
Not just you. I think it is a timeless and painfully elegant design. It's what a modern Ferrari should be IMHO.
I just don't see that at all. But I look at the FF and I see a stretch gremlin with a catfish face. Ferrari's leave strong impressions, we all have them. 612 has really grown more beautiful to me with each passing year. I'm not going to say my initial impression was ideal. But I never got the beached whale vibe
I think the 612 is quite a bit more elegant than the FF, which reminds me of the mid-'90s Civic hatch. But I think the OP was looking for something more flamboyant.
612 is plenty flamboyant to the general populous. Sure it's not a red 360. You know what? At this year's national meet concourse, half the cars were 430's and 360's. Nobody was touring them taking pics and going "wow". They're great cars, had one of each myself. But in the world of exotics they're common. 612 is truly exclusive. And I get plenty of attention in mine.
Well, Piper, I think I know how you feel, 'cause I have a Mondial. Do I think the 328 GTS is cooler than my car? Of course; it's all shrink wrapped and bulging with suggestion like a tight bikini top. But the Mondial is 98% as much fun and ... ONE THIRD of the cost. So I propose a toast to everyone having what makes them happy. And, really. If everyone had a 360 or 328, wouldn't the Ferrari car shows be a little boring?
