Where is the best place to go to get a bottle of rosso corsa touch up? I'm assuming the dealers charge 5x more than a decent 3rd party vendor, so I'm looking for a reasonable price, but obviously accurate! thanks!

paintscratch.com I've bought rosso corsa from them and it has matched perfectly. You can get a touchup paint in a small bottle, or in a spray can. I've had good luck with them on color match with other cars as well.

My car still has factory original Rosso Corsa, and Paintscratch was very close but not quite. No substitute for a computer match followed by hand tweaking at a paint shop, IMO. But YMMV, many have said the Paintscratch was perfect.

Autozone, Pep Boys, O'Reilly's... Toyota Super Red II. TOTALLY exact match of our famed Ferrari Red. You won't be disappointed and for $6 or so.

But exact match for what? There are several variants of Rosso Corsa used on our cars. They are visibly quite different.

Change between Rosso Corsa 300/6 and 300/9 for instance is in the middle of the 328 production run, I think end 1987.
Andy's GTS and my GTB being '89, they are in 300/9, which is slightly more orange than 300/6

Someone here recommended a touch up paint on-line company, I don't remember the name, but their parent company is San Leandro Color, in San Leandro CA

It came quickly, standard little touch-up bottle with built in brush, my car is Rosa Corsa and it matches perfectly, and wasn't expensive.

If you need more information, let me know.

    I prefer the pen type.

You can get the paint to flow out to fill the chip, and not slop over onto the undamaged paint, and the paint doesn't get gummy on the brush on its way from the paint vial, to the car. The pen also lets you deal with real small divots, in the ~1/2 MM size.

    Friends,

My goodness, I spent hours online and sending emails to four or five major companies who responded like they didn't even know what paint was? I was pretty bummed out but then after spending hours searching online I found a couple of my paint codes at the Dr color chip site. I was amazed that even though I had the actual color codes, every response was can you take a picture of your paint sticker, can you send us a sample? My cars are in good shape I just wanted a few touch up pens for both Ferrari's and my wheels for just a few little spots. I'm very particular, but it this point I've been using old model paint. When I get my order I will let you know back if they match at all.

    Rob

Even though they have a Ferrari on their website, the guy that responded from paintscratch.com not give me any reason that they could help me out at all. I just learned it's easier ordering rare Ferrari parts than touch up pens, even if you have a paint code that was used on thousands of cars......
