Looking for someone who knows these cars well and has the tools since seems a dying breed works in them and u don’t have the scanning tools and my lift/shop at home isn’t really setup to take in something like an engine out service.

Also anyone local for parts aware of and if not best one you see online?

So what you’re saying is Classic Coach lol

Also wondering who can redo/clean the leather on these cars and know what they are doing?

Classic coach can do anything in house. Mechanics, interior, paint, etc. The thing they farm out is coating/plating. It’s mostly Italian craftsman. Drop off your car, hand them the keys, and rest easy.

Classic Coach is central. Up north vinnie at auto elite.
Classic coach is the spot for body work restorations for sure. FNA sends cars there.
General service type work they are mostly about the same. Mostly.
For 348 specifically Pocono sports car is probably the best. Sort of NW.

If you need leather work done (I know can’t get the matching Connolly now) where would you send your 355?

I looked them up and didn’t see them - do you have Jerry’s contact? Do you know someone he works with where they could manage taking the car apart and doing the upholstery and getting it back together? I could probably manage it myself over the winter but rather have it done faster without me probably breaking clips lol.

I agree too. Many of our tech support crew were toddlers when my 1995 F355 Challenge was made. A few of them prepped my car prior to the three-day Watkins Glen event I went to three weeks ago.

I have full faith in their training and expertise to ensure that my car is right for the track where it's subject to extreme use...

A well-trained and experienced crew came in handy a few years ago when my car began experiencing intermittent loss of power on the track. All sorts of warning lights were going on and off. I always carry a spare alternator with me to track events but the alternator in the car was relatively new so I figured it was a loose cable connection.

In the pit lane, the techs saw that the connector was secure. I was directed to go back to the garage. Using a wire continuity tester, they diagnosed a broken wire in the cable which they isolated when the slit the cable cover open...

Yes, they had the car on jack stands...

    :)

They spliced the broken wire, taped up the cable cover and my car was back on the track a half hour later.

I helped with the diagnosis but the techs knew how to effect repairs and did so quickly.

Who would you have work on a car from the 60s/70s then?
With that logic.....those with the "experience" to do the work would all be dead.

As a nut and a spendthrift my interest was piqued when I learned that Connolly leather could be re-connolized. FYI

right, it was not intended that way, it was more observational humor. Apologies how it sounded.
