    NYC!
I recently got a 488 challenge evo, planning on doing club challenge next year. Any recommendations or suggestions on a good racing sim?

No recommendations as I’ve never used one. Just wanted to congratulate you on your purchase, I’m sure it’s a heck of a car.

At least for the present I have my hands full with the 458C - just doing HPDE but having a blast!

Where will you be running? Pics?

Do you mean the platform and components, the game or both?

I spent a couple of years building mine including motion control, retracting harnesses, wind emulation, etc.

Do you want turnkey or DIY and what’s your budget?

How can I help (if at all?)

You've got a couple of good options here.
The most accessible, and the most 1:1 with your car is Assetto Corsa Competizione.
You'll be able to jump right in straight away, and its got a lot of tracks - hopefully most of the tracks you'll be using.

iRacing is a good option as well, but you'll need to go through various hoops and pay walls to get the car you want quickly.

Third and Fourth options will be the standard Assetto Corsa, and Rfactor 2.

All this is available on steam.
A great community to get you up to speed quickly will be RaceDepartment.

Depends on budget, there are so many options. For me, they just feel too synthetic but they help you learn the tracks. I would like to get one but haven't found the right one for me.

Hi, rfactor2 is known to have the best physics, so it will be the closest like for like with your real car. They definitely have the gt3, I am not sure about the challenge. Hardware: there are lots of options. I would recommend a direct drive wheel, a quality pedal set, chassis and race seat. If you want any chance of getting an immersive real car feel, that's your only option. Dbox also has an affordable motion platform that bolts right to aluminum profile sim rigs. Advanced Sim Racing in Canada can build an entire rig for you and have all the knowledge required to get you going.

Never considered one until I’ve started looking at my year’s expenses actually tracking the Challenge.

I wanna do some new tracks next year (COTA, Ozark, FlatRock and would like to get a good jump start to maximize my time there.

I’m not good at preview watching vids until after I’ve been out to a track, they make much more sense afterwards.

Thanks for all the responses! Looking for something turn key, I don’t have the time or desire necessary to figure out how to build the best rig. Flexible budget. Based on recommendations made to me I’m leaning towards the professional set up from gpxlab.com

Fanatec has great items, yet to find a structure to hold it is not easy. You could probably piece together a professional unit yourself, but easier to buy a complete package.
