A buddy of mine asked me to help him sell a watch he got as a gift. Unfortunately, Ebay has a limit on how much you can sell an item.

Where does one go to sell a watch in the >$75K watches?

Has anyone used any other online auctions?

How are you!!?? It has been a very long time. I knew I missed a lot of good people here :)

The limitation may have just been for me then. I tried to set a reserve for the watch at $80K and was told I ned to go for further verification to sell an item that high. I checked out Chrono24 but it seems to be a lot more international.

Just bought my first nice watch, ever.....used, in the Watchuseek forum.

Like anything, check feedback, reviews, email the seller, talk to
them, find the comfort zone. If you deal with a watch aficionado,
like I did, they live on that forum, so they do not want any bad marks.

I also looked on Fleabay, and a lot of good feedback sellers there too.

Selling there is a different story, unless you have a lot of good feedback,
    On other sites, EBay, etc.

Timezone, watchuseek, Rolex forums are good places to start.

Could also look into Sotheby's, Christies, and Antiquorum. May not get as much as going direct but it is certainly safe.

EBay does limit on most things except cars. I think you can contact them and give them more information, they'll raise it. It has something to do with the EBay money back guarantee.
