Where can I find some die cast models of Group C cars. I'm actually looking for Toyota models. Either IMSA GTP :)) thanks for the pics above!) or their LeMans cars. I can find the Tamia models but, I'd like something a bit more solid. Exoto doesn't make any :(.

Wasn't the XJ220 a Group-C car? If I remember correctly they gave it a V6 so that it could be a Group-C car. If I'm right then it's the best looking IMO

No, it came well after the 3.5 power plant change. The V6 Twin Turbo engine was actually a replacement for an initial V12. The V6 was chosen for its weight and reliability advantages. It was a GT road car by design and was pressed into racing service as the new GT racing rules allowed.

I thought Porsche actually made this one. I remember seeing it on Victory by Design, which was about Porsche. They mentioned Porsche produce this one themselves.

Actually that's a 962C CR by Vern Shuppan. Gunnar Racing has the second one produced for sale.

Daniel the closing speeds were ridiculous, although the Driver was very sensible, must have been pretty frustrating for him though

Does anyone have pics of Porsche 911 GT1 famous accident (360º flight) during practice at Le Mans (1998-9?)?
And by the way, didn´t a Mercedes have a similar accident some years before?

    Thanks

Here you go. It was the Mercedes' that flipped in 1999 not the Porsche.

I believe he is right. If I am not mistaken there was a Porsche and Benz that did the flip.

Thanks for the link! Amazing pics!
I am pretty sure that a Porsche did a similar flip in Le Mans (but I don´t know in which year...).
