So I like to visit Ferrari dealers everywhere I go that has one and compare & contrast. I went to Ferrari of Central Florida last week and was really surprised and impressed since I last visited the old store.

I keep a mental power ranking of my favorite and least favorite stores and tend to base it on the following:
    • Facility (location, architecture, and character)
    • Cars (interesting inventory and/or cars in service)
    • Vibe (energetic, aloof, dead, etc.)
Not really interested in the business side, so excluding sales/services experience, reputation, etc. - what are you favorite stores to kick tires at (using criteria above). My top are:
    • Miller Motorcars
    • Lake Forest
    • Ferrari of Washington
Ferrari of Houston is up there, but I don't like the location. Ferrari Ft. Lauderdale used to be a top one for me, but it's lost lost some of its charm imho. Seattle was such a cool location, but I think they moved. Curious what you guys think

My list is extremely limited, but I thought the cars, layout, and people (shout out to Jordan Fisher) at Lake Forest were absolutely above and beyond. Happy to see they made your list!

If you're in Michigan it's Cauley: great people, just totally remodeled, striking building, some really great cars, state-of-the-art body/paintbooth

Isn’t there a benefit of sticking with one dealer? Am I wrong about this?

I believe OP is saying he likes to visit dealerships when he travels or is in the area because he finds it enjoyable. Can't fault him for that.

    The long way home
You are wrong from the perspective of completely missing the point of the thread, which is to discuss which dealers are best to visit based on the criteria outlined in the OP :p

Ferrari FtLauderdale lost its charm and personal touch when it canceled its cars & coffee,
Now it reflects South Florida style over substance.

I have pictures as a teen standing outside of Continental (Hinsdale) after-hours with a parking lot full of 90s cars unattended/open the latest models right against the glass.

One of my first credit card purchases was a Ferrari Keychain from the merchandise shop there.... My dad rolled his eyes when he found out I bought an $11 Keychain

@Aerosurfer that's awesome and reminds me of some pictures I found a couple months ago in the attic. We had a trip to Orlando and I begged my parents to go to south florida to visit the dealers from duPont.

I'll never forgot when a salesman named John came out of his office and offered to open the McLaren F1 for me. I saw him at a training about ten years later and again at Cavillino a few years ago and I had to thank him each time (doubt he remembers or thinks it's a big deal, but he's gracious about it). It's funny, I've been in an LM and him just opening the door to a regular F1 is still more memorable to me. Can't tell you how many kids I paid it forward to bc of him

Blessed to say I worked there back in those days. The most gracious, generous, genuine group of people I've ever work with/known. The Sheltons are true gentlemen. Lol, I use to eat my LaSpada's sub at the picnic table under the awning in the lower left pic. Best part was break time in that same spot listening to Franco make jokes. What an era to be involved with Ferrari! It was a small, close knit group that felt like family. From the local FCA events to the track days, nothing can compare to those times.

BTW the salesman you spoke of is John Levy. He's still there and still has the pony tail. :D

since I travel a bit, I started visiting Ferrari dealers too, been doing it for several years, sometimes just walk in, sometimes (depending where) I'll reach out in advance. met some super people and a few aholes too, and have some great stories and photos for the day I can put my feet up and jot them down. would be fun to get this thread together for a whiskey or two! (btw, so far, been to 56 dealers in 18 countries on 5 continents. plan to add s.africa this year ... that will check the box on every continent where Ferrari does business) cheers!

I visited the dealer in Salt Lake City a couple years ago. They had a customer Enzo in the show room. Salesman was extremely friendly knowing that I was just visiting. He showed me around the dealership and the back lot etc. we talked cars and Ferraris for probably 30 minutes. I was totally impressed.

When Ferrari was at the Wynn hotel/casino, it was an amazing place to visit. Ferrari store adjacent, you’d descend into the batcave (service). There would be a plexiglass window for people to watch the cars being serviced and another showroom down there next to service (besides the nice showroom upstairs where cars where on turntables).

As mentioned Cauley is pretty nice, they always have at least a few cool cars and half the second floor is pretty much a nightclub/lounge type setup....only with Ferraris.

Shocked we have something that nice here in Michigan!

When I bought my car a few years ago I made it a point to visit as many dealerships as possible when the wife and I travel. I have had nothing but good experiences and enjoy seeing what other stores look like and the cars they have on their property. I also enjoy seeing the parts department for items that I might not find at my local store. With a bit of luck, I have also gotten tours of their service dept.
My only wish is that they could make and sell Ferrari branded t-shirts with the dealership's logo on them. It would be nice to have a reminder of my visit and where I have been. Heck, even a keychain with the dealership's name on it would work......

As others have said, Cauley. Yes the building is really nice and so is the stock but the people there are the best there is.

My love of the brand came from my childhood visits to Shelton Ferrari in Ft. Lauderdale, which is now FOFL. My grandfather lived close to the dealership and whenever we went to Fla to visit him he and my dad always made it a point to take my there. I still love going there and I actually bought a 430 Spider from them a few days ago.

The 430 is gone now and was traded for a 458 about 6-7 years ago, but it was a little surreal to buy the 430 in that dealership. Sorry when I reread my post I had a few spelling errors.

Ferrari of Central Florida was awesome. When I visited they had just opened the current location. Very friendly staff, awesome collection, beautiful building also. We were given a tour which at the time included the race team cars being worked on there.
