I was looking through the other thread and it devolved into suggestions of $1500 for Louis XIII to a ridonculous $2,000,000 for something or other that not even Bill Gates himself would probably buy.

So let's bring it back to reality:
    Best bottle under $50
    Best under $100
    Best under $250, and
    Best under $500

For about $50, I like Remy VSOP. What should I try next?

    Thanks.

You should try Remy XO or Hennessy XO. It goes for less than $150.

+1 - you will love it. My buddy got me a bottle for my birthday - he is a Costco addict and I think that he paid $120 for it.

I think that hennessy is a very good cognac compared to its price.

The Anno Domini is even better, but more expensive at $350/bottle. Certainly worth a try, if you haven't.
