For the life of me, I can't figure out the C-Tek website for what's the best charger for the 575M or the 550. There are so many variations and so many options. Can anyone shed some expertise into this please? What do you use for trickle charging?

I have seen this one used at a storage place. Have you had good experience with this? It seems inexpensive but then again, I am sure the mark up is crazy since Ferrari Dealers marks up the C-Tek by 8 times.

You've got several choices other than the C-Tec. Dave mentioned one. Another is the Schumacher SE-1-12S. It's been serving dependably in my 550 for fifteen years.

The Schumacher is the best charger period. I have 2 of them. Super reliable. I have lots of toys so I'm always charging something and these do the job.
    good call Barry.

I've been using Deltran (Battery Tender) products since the early 90's on several race cars that ran total loss systems (no alternator) and my other cars in storage with never a problem.

I bought this one a few months ago because I had just installed an AGM battery and this tender works on both AGM and flooded.

    Hi Dave,

I have a cover over the positive terminal. I had to trim the cover that came with the Braille to get it to fit over the cables. It's always best to shield the positive terminal as you did. That's an old picture I posted.

I have the same tender mounted in my F355 Challenge, Jon. Three years of reliable service with that one.

I use CTEK MXS 5.0. Have used it for about 4 years with no issues and leave it connected for weeks at a time.

I use the C-TEK 800 (0.8A) on most everything. A few are branded as Aston Martin. Have 16 of them in service on everything from lawn tractors to the 550. They work well and I have had zero failures. Often available at low cost on eBay.
I also have a couple of the larger C-TEKs. They also work fine, but no need for the additional capacity. Keep in mind that these are tenders - not chargers. If you have a drained battery, a conventional charger is the the correct device to restore the bulk of the charge.
One key difference with a C-TEK is the de-sulphating mode that pulses the charge voltage occasionally. This helps batteries deliver the longest possible service. Look for that feature if you are considering others. I also have a perfectly good Harley-Davidson branded tender for example. It offers all the other benefits - but no pulse mode. I just replaced a battery this year...

Broadway provided a factory red with Ferrari markings CTEK 800 with all their used Ferraris back in 2008. Mine is in one of the ZIVAN Schedoni cases, but I have not used it for about 6 years. If you drive them, they do not need one.
