    Christian Brothers brandy would be apropos, as Hans Christian Andersen was from nearby Denmark. ;)

    If Cognac is a must, Courvoisier, Remy Martin, Martell, Hennessey are reasonably priced.

    then use what brandy or cognac u have in the cupboard.

    Oh for heaven's sake - Courvoisier pancakes??? I have a good friend who makes beer
    pancakes camping, just to have an excuse to drink beer at 7:00 AM. Sounds like the
    same thing here to me, just higher brow.
