What would be the best brand and where to buy them for timing belts to use on my 83 Mondial?
Ferrari-branded Dayco belts on mine. Ricambi America (banner advertisement above) sells the appropriate set. Image Unavailable, Please Login

I would like to know if Continental makes timing belts for the 308. On other cars I have owned, the Conti-Tech belts were always visibly and tactilely of better quality than the Gates, Dayco, Goodyear, etc. equivalents.
+1...and that OEM Dayco belt was purchased from an Authorized Ferrari Dealership/Factory parts supplier....
I've followed belt and tensioner threads with interest for many years on this board. Unfortunately, and for many assorted reasons, these failures happen resulting in damage and repair costs. That's the risk with an interference engine. None-the-less, we're obliged to service our engines regularly and carefully. I'm curious to see what the cause was for this most recent belt failure. Daniel at Ricambi America is careful about the parts he keeps in stock. Barry
