Having just finished detailing my car for tomorrow, I have found - shock horror - a total of three minor dents in the bodywork. They are the kind of dents that you really notice only when you polish the car in detail, but I know I will have sleepless nights now :)

I think they are the kind of dents that can be "pulled out" without damaging the paintwork (you know, like hail dents) but I wouldn't want any yahoo to do the job.

Can anyone recommend a high quality body shop in the Chicagoland area that will be happy to do some little detailing work like this, with high quality results?

    Thanks
    Andre

If you are on the West side. Custom Cars in La Grange. 708-354-7888. Pete Sanchez or Dino. Don't just take my word for it. There are plenty of f chat members in the Chicago area that highly recommend them. You will not be disapointed. They are the best at what they do. Which includes complete car restoration, detailing and body repair. CAS uses them exclusively for any body work done on their customers ferraris.

If the paint isn't damaged, paintless dent repair can make them invisible. Don't know where you're located but, if you're in the Northwest burbs, you can drop your car off at Ed's and he'll make the arrangements.

I have unfortunately used Custom Cars services a lot recently and can highly recommend them (wives car). Not only excellent work, but I would pay admission just to see the cars they are creating or repairing in their shop.

Today I noticed that I also have a slightly bent front right rim, courtesy of the wonderfully smooth Chicago roads :( :( :(

Who can do this job safely and at a reasonable price?

well considering you've already advertised earlier in the thread... and probably make mention of CAS in every other post you make....

and being you are a paid f-chat sponsor right?
i'm sure it wouldn't be too much of an issue to mention CAS every chance you get....

anyways enough of the smartass comments...

don't get me wrong... you have a beautiful showroom and what not..... just that don't need to advertise it every chance you get... let your quality do the speaking for you.... :)

    where's the hostility?

my caps lock key works fine as you may have noticed, it was a matter of simple question and opinion... he made his reply, and i tried to simply clarify what i ment (again without hostility) in my following post....

if you feel the least bit offended by a disagreeing opinion... my apologies to you

Well, I'm not an employee of Continental, just a long time and always satisfied client. They recently had my somewhat more than slightly bent rim repaired. Great job and reasonably priced.

Thanks, Continental is actually quite near my office and very convenient for me. And fixing the rim right now is much higher priority than fixing the dents, since I also need new tires it makes sense to do it at the same time. The irony is, that the rim got bent one night driving over a pothole on Ogden Avenue, the very road where Continental is located... and possibly one of the worst maintained roads in the civilized world :(
