My Lusso takes several seconds to turn over when I start it in very cold weather. My dealer said this is normal, but I still want to be prepared if there is a particularly cold day and my battery goes dead while I’m at work. I’m going to order a battery jumper pack to keep in my trunk. Any suggestions on a brand or model that you guys have used on your Ferrari?

It may take a while to recharge the battery, but I would never jump a car battery on today's modern cars. That was fine in the old days and I did it many times, but not now. You might get away with it, but if you don't .........

I would tend to agree with you, but the dealer is the one who told me to use a jumper pack, rather than jumping it with another car.

that looks like a good one. I ended up ordering a NOCO 2000Amp (probably overkill, but it’s VERY cold here in Wisconsin, and IT’S A V12!) after looking at some reviews on Amazon

+1 for the NOCO. So much better than the classic lead acid battery jumper pack. the NOCO takes a 5th of the space and is much easier to use as less bulky. I have a GB50 (good for 1500A) and have never had an issue with it starting my Lusso V12.

I have read the manual on this, and it is less than clear. Do you have any better resources/suggestions on how to get this done? My car does not have easy access to electricity for the conditioner, and indeed, as it is in an NYC multi-level parking lot, it can even be hard to access with a "donor" car battery, much less a AAA truck. I am thinking if the battery runs down, a portable charger is about my only shot, short of having the attendants push it out... Basically, 1) remove the cover (with the two screws that are not visible in the picture in the manual below), 2) remove (somehow, not stated) the cover "A" below to get to the positive terminal.
Do you have a recommended grounding point? Do you have any tips on how best to do this (e.g., cover removal, etc.)?
Thanks, as always for any advice. I have a feeling this is in my future...

Has anyone used a charger via the cigarette lighter? Is that even a thing anymore?

I've had the NOCO GBX155 for about the last 2 years, have used it about a dozen times on a variety of equipment with great success.
    Would buy again.

The cigarette lighter is disconnected when the car is OFF, so that wouldnt work.

That is hugely useful. I think I’m just going to go with a portable 120 V power pack and the regular Ferrari trickle charger/battery conditioner in case it runs down. My hope would be after 12 hours or something it will suffice.
