Can anyone recommend a place to repair a bent rim? Gotta love NJ roads... I'm located in Morristown.

I've used NeedPowderCoating Libella Ct Newark NJ (201) 889-1873. I have not used them for Ferrari Rims due to the magnesium content. But they have continually produced great results for my Mazdas & wife's MB both in straightening & refinishing.

Folks recommend USA Wheels in fairfield. I have used them. I would not recommend.

I was there yesterday to ask a quote for my 16" steel rims on a Suburban. $450 to powdercoat and mount and balance new tires. I think that's high. That's $370 to powdercoat 4 wheels. Brand new wheels are less than that.

USA Wheels (its been a while) is like $80/rim to refinish. Straightening a rim is more. That's puts NeedPowderCoating cheaper as they fix for rim integrity. And I can attest - the do a phenomenal job. Yah, their mounting & balancing is more than a local Good year shop, though they use a non-contact mounting machine. No more teeth marks on the inner surface of the rim from the older machines grabbing the rim.

Where ever you go, just make sure you ask if they do it themselves, or ship it out & find out where they ship it to. Almost exclusively I heard USA Wheels. The mobile trucks are just quick patches and I'd stay away from them.

The reviews are 50/50 and very polarized. Not sure what to make of that?

I just need steel rims powder coated no repairs.

I just used Silverstar in Oakland last week. Ask for Jessie and they do it themselves. 175/Challenge rim. They pickup

    Hope this helps

No firsthand experience, and I was looking to have my MB wheels straightened and refinished but decided on replacement. This shop actually looks like they do it properly.
