I am selling my 2 nearly-new, excellent-condition BandPak HD-9 lifts. I have them both listed on eBay with several more photos (Used Bendpak HD 9 9000 lb 4 Post Auto Lift Excellent Near New Condition | eBay). I would like to see them go to a good home; they are a great accessory for a shop or a hobbyist looking for storage.

2 ramps and 3 drip trays included with each lift. Price is per lift. Compare it to new BendPak prices!

Interesting as I'm in the market for one. But I've no idea how I'd get it from Tampa to my house.

These lifts are typically able to disassemble and reassemble. They are fairly heavy so you would need a crew to do it. I think both sides would have to agree on how to pay a crew to disassemble and then ship the lift(s). They usually put them on the back of these large flat bed looking industrial vehicles.

Agreed. But I'm only 3 hours away and the logistics are already tricky. The OP's eBay ad mentioned pick-up only.

Thank you for the comments on the BendPaks and the transport process. I purchased the HD-9's because they were so highly recommended by friends in the hobby and business, as has been mentioned in this thread. It is true that all home lifts are large/heavy/technical and would require professional service (or an experienced hobbyist with time and a trailer) to disassemble/reassemble for transport.

The costs associated with transport and set-up are borne buy the buyer when new lifts are purchased, too. These nearly-new lifts with accessories will be a good deal for a buyer in the region who wants to save compared to new HD-9 prices.

@malex: R L Vice Automotive Lifts set-up and serviced these lifts for me. They have already provided a quote for moving a lift for another potential buyer. Call them at 863-353-6758. Logistics are almost too easy: simply purchase a lift, use R L Vice (or the Southeastern lift company of your choice) to meet me at the home anytime, and take delivery of the lift at your preferred location.

Does anyone know the lowest ceiling these lifts will accommodate? Ive been looking at lifts, and Im told if you add the height of both cars, and 6 inches you should be ok. So say two cars at 45 inch, plus the 6 would be 96 inches. With a 107-to 104 inch ceiling will I be ok?

All dimensions are here BendPak HD-9 Four Post Lift 9,000 Lb. Capacity, Standard Width. There's also a dimensioned drawing available to download.

My 2 car garage ceiling is a 104" and I'm tight if I were to put a 4-post there. I'm trying to stack an Alfa Montreal over/under a Jag E-type FHC and can't quite make the math work. But my house also has a 1 car garage with 12' ceiling, which gives me another option.

I have one of these lifts currently and could use a second one. I wish you were closer.

Having been down this road a few years ago and now moved and moved my lift to my new home, a couple insights that I wish I had known in the beginning.

My ceiling height at the old house was 102". That worked with the 100" height of the posts and the cars I was stacking. Big oops! The opened garage door height was 84"! The one post that would be under the garage door had to be cut. I made it work but make sure you do your ceiling heights Witt the garage door open and locate the planned posts locations so you have no surprises.

If you have the ceiling height and the door issue as above you can retract the door higher which is what I did in the new house. Did not have that option in the old house.

I had someone locally tear down and reassemble my lift on a move of 3 miles and paid $800 in NJ. Just an idea of cost without transport.

Fair points. I'll need to recheck my garage door height when up. The Bendpak post height is 88" and my doors track a bit more than a foot off the ceiling, so it is tight at best. Certainly something for others also with low ceilings to double check.

I'd probably put the 4-post in my 1 car garage, which has plenty of ceiling height. But I'm going to run into the same problem with the door, though there's more than enough room for a garage door guy to come in and reset the tracks closer to the ceiling.

    couple of insights.

I singled handedly assembled a similar 4 post last year in my garage. With some clever use of floor jacks and furniture dollies I wouldn't say it was easy, but can be done. Two guys can easily do it.

You'll need a flat bed car trailer at least 18' long for transport.

AS for height, I have 108" and can stack a mondial and 348. The key to the math is finding out the height of each stop. Find the one that clears for the lower car plus a few inches to raise above that stop to release the locks. Then from there add the height of the ramps (usually around 4") then the upper car and a few more (again) to release the locks and then compare to the ceiling height. Dont forget the garage door if it will raise directly above the lift

It was kind of funny now looking back at it. I thought I had so carefully measured and calculated everything before ordering. I knew exactly where the posts would go etc. They delivered the lift in Feb and it was all on the garage floor. I unpacked stuff and stood the 4 posts up with the door closed of course. I admired my planning and how it was going to work out fine and went to bed

The next morning my wife leaves for work first and she opens the garage door and I hear this crash of metal and what the heck. Go into the garage and the post under the door is laying on the floor. Immediately I knew what was wrong of course and I had a ton of steel just delivered and what now. I figured out how to cut that post by 16" and it works fine but I can't be the only one with that kind of layout.

    Good luck
