Becker radio blocked because impossible to enter the code

    Hello everyone,

    The original BECKER autoradio of this MY2005 F430 is blocked.

    Let me explain, as you can see, the display shows numbers from 1 to 7 only.
    It used to show the 8, 9 and 0 at the right of the display.
    Now, there is an arrow and pressing the button of the arrow will not change anything.

    Has anyone encountered this problem ? I can not enter my code so the radio is blocked.
    Turning off/on the battery won't change anything and by the way even with a new battery, it's still the same.

    If it's anything like the other Becker units, you need to leave it on for 24 hours before it will reset itself. Not sure what the implications on for the car to stay on the whole time. Your best bet would be to take it out and hook it up to a 12v lead for the 24 hours. Some people say it only takes two hours. Only one way to find out I guess

    The battery has just been replaced so I will avoid letting the car turned on for several hours ;)
    As I tried pressing other buttons on the radio, the radio put itself into safety mode and I had to wait around 2500 seconds, which I did but unfortunately the display remains the same.

    In French it is written "Entrer le co***" but as you can see the message is not clearly readable because of the ****

    Then I'll try to take it out and hook it up to a battery and see what happens.

    I'd be curious to know if anybody has ever got this kind of display with numbers from 1 to 7 only instead of the whole line from 1 to 0 at the right.

    Yes; You locked it; you need to wait for it to reset. Depending on the model that is either an overnight, disconnect/reconnect, or a 1hr wait while on. I forget which version the 4xxx series had as its been a while.

    Thanks, I'll try that.

    Simple question, seeing that currently numbers go from 1 to 7, does that mean that in this situation when it is locked, there is an additional code to unlock the radio apart from the original code of 5 digits that I usually enter after reconnecting the battery (with numbers 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 9 0) ?

    This is what I don't understand, can't I find the code to unlock it ?
    I only have the original autoradio code to unlock it when I turn the battery on.

    Good question. That I am not sure of….Bekker Audiosound in NJ would know as they service these

    Do you have the original books that came with the car? There should be something in there that looks like a thin credit card that has your code on it.

    Hi,
    Yes I have all the books and the original code card but there is a 0 inside.
    I know it by heart and was dialing it every time after turning the battery on, but on my current display, numbers go from 1 to 7 only.

    After finishing the 2002 major service and resetting the radio code, or trying to, the message "wait" appeared and stayed that way for several days as I recall. It then started working normally. I did the drive relearn procedure but doubt that the radio had anything to do with that.

    Hi,

    I have same issue with only able to select numbers 1-7 but my code should be 9015.

    I bought my F430 a couple of months ago and didn’t bother fixing the issue with the radio code since the engine sound is just amazing .

    Anyone know how to solve this issue.

    If I was in that situation, I would definitely throw away that POS Becker unit and install something else.

    Your code cannot be 9015.
    The Becker Ferrari Cascade has a 5 digit code.

    Enter a lot of bad codes until it locks you out and then wait 2 days and see if resets with 0-9
