    Hello
I live in Hilton Head Island. We lost our service tech and we are looking for a qualified tech as close to home as possible.
    Any recommendations?
    Thanks
    Steve

Yes, I understand from a Ferrari owner in HH who talked with him, he has left the US with no plans to return. No forwarding address.

Peter, I know you turned me down on my Alfa but I have a 599 inbound and may need some service done on it so I will likely be reaching out.

I did speak to Joe on the phone and he does service some Ferraris and is confident that he can do most things on a 599 but he does not have a Leonardo/SD3 so he is limited. I have never used him or seen his shop so I have no idea what level of service we are talking about. My issue is that the main thing I needed service was the F1 system and you can’t do that properly without SD3. I decided to have the seller take my car to the Ferrari dealer in Montreal to have all the service brought up-to-date before it is imported and shipped out. It’s going to be expensive but at least I know I have a good starting point.

That's smart move. Should give you years of "not to worry" about it. Just keep fluid levels checked annually.

Yes Brady O is gone. He sold his house and has apparently left the country. I
have e-mailed him many times but he has not let us know where he is living.

I’ve always had good results with Automotive International. Especially on my older Ferraris, it’s nice to take the cars to a shop where they’re familiar with the intricacies and parts sourcing challenges that come with working on these. Sean never ceases to amaze me with his ability to find parts I did not know still existed. Experience in the Marquee is definitely important!

    Not exactly a reassuring statement!

A penny wise and a pound foolish.

Do yourself a favor and go to Karl Troy in Charleston or Automotive International in Charlotte.

They will have the proper tools and more importantly, the experience to fix a Ferrari properly.

    Are they cheap? No!

    Are they worth it? Yes!
