rain or shine, ********** is still on! come on bay area folks, be hardcore like the Sacramento group!
We really do meet rain or shine. Rain does make for some great images as I have attached. The images where from a day similar to what Sunday is forecast to be. Plus the Paddocks will be open and they have room to keep everyone out of the rain. Granted rain events are shorter and their is no drives but still fun to meet. Hey! I recognize that red 355 with the blue monkey hanging from the rearview mirror, top down in the rain. Edit: It *was* top-down when I drove in, as it was only *threatening to rain*, but the rain started to fall, and I put it up... Hopefully, Pomodoro will be home very soon. I miss him a lot. Anyways, it's just proof that these cars don't melt in the rain - I remember talking to Kirby about it about a year ago, and in his words, "they're even MORE fun when you can play around with 'em, get the tail kicked out a little, without breaking the law (too much?)."
Actually, I was referring to a different Kirby, but the one you have out there looks like a wonderfully fun character, too. Once the car's back in shape, I'll be coming out there to Santana Row, some of the EuSu Bay Area meets, and whatever other excuse I can make to drive around. I'll see you all then! Have fun, go, out there, and enjoy the meet - whatever the weather. It's the people that make it special - the cars are just the common bond. Orrie
I won't be able to make it this weekend, but I shall bring both the Silly and the Puppy... and I have the license plate to prove it (when I get there...)! Enjoy the nice, long weekend, everyone! I know it's not gonna be hit-the-twisties weather, but keep the faith - they'll be here before you know it. I can't wait.
Well I will not be there either. How silly. There is a collector valve on the roof of my 360. If any raindrop gets in there the car automatically shuts down. So I can't do rain.
I won't be able to make it most likely. The wife and I'll be with stayin' over-night for V-day at Santana Row, so won't be able to drive to Danville early Sunday,in the morning rain. Was originally planning to drive the 355 to Santana Row on Saturday, but due to the rain the X5 will likely get all the action. See you guys at the next event.
Hey... It's not the problem Ferraris will melt in the rain... it's the other idiot that looses control in the rain and runs into your Ferrari that's the problem I worry about. Most car accidents happen during bad weather conditions. Anyone who takes their Ferrari or exotic out is taking a big chance.... one I'm not willing to take. Rob
Got Skype... It's great! Anyone who has a computer with a camera and mic can experience the next best thing in caller ID. Lets chat dudes! www.skype.com
I don't have a camera or mic for my computer. So I am OUT. So I don't have to look at him or you either Greg. Every couple of weeks is enough.
Glad to see a few people made it out, here's a few pics. -Brian Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
