My father worked at Jack Tar Hotel for over 15yrs during the 60's and 70's. Perhaphs you have run-into my loving father and his toys that he parked in the garage- 'go ern'.
He would work nights and bring home a bucket of the Buffalo Stew from Tommy's. Fond memories.
Sure miss Dear ol Dad, May he rest in peace- Love ya Dad.

For me, the song that reminds me most of my youth in NorCal is "Mill Valley" by Rita Abrams and the 3th grade class from Strawberry Point School in Mill Valley ... sure, I love my Bay Area Rock 'n Roll, but this song does it for me.

Remember Mill Valley being a fairly well plaid song on Bay Area stations. Anyone put a year to it?

 

It was 1970, and I was going to school at Marin Terrace in Mill Valley at the time. I am not sure I could stand to hear it one more time.

Living in the South Bay, we (I was in Catholic School - KNEEL, Sinner!) were very jealous of the song. Most us didn't know where the heck was Mill Valley was to begin with. I actually still like hearing the song ... reminds me of my youth.

Nikon,exposure=13sec (little too long), aperture=f14(will try f8 next time) at 18mm with iso320.
