********** Reminder: This is just a reminder that ********** Sacramento is having a Plus event this weekend. Our focus this month is going to be on Porsche & Mercedes. We will be meeting at Peets Coffee: Peet's Coffee - 5550 Douglas Blvd. Suite D-110, Granite Bay, CA 95746 If interested, more information will be on the website. Hope to see you there.
This is a reminder post that the Bay Areas first ********** event will be this Sunday 2/17/08. Please see the attached link for parking information: http://**********.net/bay/maps/3750blackstone.html There will be a drive after the event to the lunch meeting place for those who are interested. For more information please see our site at http://**********.net/bay
Wow, the Sacto EuSu looked pretty nice; glad the Cobra "replicas" were allowed. Count me in; I'm bringing SNKVNNM.
Ohhhh, yes there is! We went to that one shortly after it opened. Oh, how I love that place. Unfortunately, Corrie won't be my passenger for Sunday, BUT we'll likely be returning to the Bay Area on Monday (my actual birthday, and a day off from work due to the other notable figures whose birthdays are in February!), so we can share Zach's then. Too bad the meet's not in San Jose - I always long for Stan's Donuts, and make sure to stop there en route to Santana Row. Anyways, enough with my food fixations! Bring out the toys on Sunday! I'm looking forward to seeing you all, and the weather looks to be fan-frickin'-tastic! Orrie
Just found out this months ********** will be in Danville, I live close so Ill definetley be there. I've never been to one before...does anyone know what supercars should show up on Sunday and about how many cars show up on a regular basis and are all cars alowed on the drive?...just curious Ill be taking lots of pics and vids Thanks, Brian
With the bay area we are expecting any where from 50 to 200 cars. Sacramento averages about 100+ cars at each event. As for what shows up it is anywhere from Fiat (think of Luigi from cars) to Carrera GTs, SLRs and everything in between. The drives are open to everyone. We have drive leaders who will keep the cars organized and make sure know one is left behind. We will give more details on the drive at the event.
I'm meeting a couple of guys at the Starbucks at Stevens Creek and De Anza in Cupertino at 6:15. From there we're meeting a group at Stoneridge Mall. It should be a beautiful day. Greg '92 M5 Touring #1 of 891
Thank you very much for the information, I am looking forward to attending my first **********! Thank You! BrianZuk
The sooner you get to the event the more to the front you are when we parking you. As far as when people show up it is really when your alarm clock goes off and you get out the door. We will be there about 7:45 getting ready for everyone to show up.
I dropped in this morning and met a couple of FChatters: ExoticLover, hard at work, will no doubt have plenty of pics and videos to post. And, SillyPuppy, down from Sacramento with the 355. --Nice to see you guys -- There were some rare cars: a Noble, two DeLoreans, a Morgan, an older Aston Martin. There were Italians: Ferraris, Lamborghinis, De Tomaso Panteras, Lancias. Other Euros included everything but the kitchen sink. The Germans: BMW, Mercedes Benz, Audi. The English: Aston Martin, Austin Healy, Morgan, Lotus. A Volvo, with more decals than I've ever seen on a single car that wasn't actually in competition. Some non-Euros: Vipers, Corvettes, Subaru rally cars, etc. The event was held blessedly close to a Starbucks -- good planning, Adam. Nice to meet you, too. Here is a flash of red that is sure to get your blood moving (pic by my son, Gordon) Justice Image Unavailable, Please Login
Hey Justice, thanks for the post. The photo is excellent! Sounds like a really interesting event. sting
Hello everyone: The first Bay Area ********** is now in the books. We had an amazing turnout of cars for our first ever event. Several Lamborghini Murcielagos, Ferrari F430s, a strong showing from Keith and Joe with the Bay Bimmers Group, a few Aston Martins including a right hand drive DB5, serial number 001 belonging to the BMW M5 Estate was also at the event. The Pantera Club made strong showing and everything else in between. The drive after the event was the largest ever for a ********** event. Winding its way through the foothills of the east bay to Lafayette for lunch. Some of the cars on the drive include a bran new F430 spider, multiple Vettes, Lotus 7, Viper, DB9 Volante, and many BMWs and Audis. Because of the amount participants interested in the drives we will run two or three groups in order to keep the drives more manageable. We will also release the end destination so people that just want to meet everyone for lunch can do so. We will confirm the event location and post it on the website and to the forums. We would like to thank everyone who attended our first event and welcome any feedback on what we can do to make it better. Special thanks to Justin for offering to be one of the bay area leads for us. Also thanks to the Pantera Club, Babblers and Bay Bimmers. Brian, you are quite adept at putting these videos together! And thanks for the nice words about my car. My favorite part is when my doors go up and you say "Whoa . . .", which is, as far as I can tell, your only utterance in the whole video, so I'm flattered! Good to meet you too, Don. It was a very pleasant couple hours indeed. Justice
Thanks for the compliment!...that was actually my Grandpa that said Whoah, but I was thinking the same thing in my head Best, Brian
