Sounds like something Xzibit came up with. Why not use a ctek or noco which both have lots of first hand use on here?

My Ctek 7002 is "dying" and no longer reliable. It charges, goes into float mode (green light) and then after a day or so starts to click on/off every few seconds and lets the battery drain away. I won't buy another Ctek (China made). It's not reliable as far as I am concerned. My Noco is great, but doesn't have a way to connect to the magnetic port (no pig tail available for it) on my F8. I came across JMR which seems to fit the bill, but never heard of them before so hence my question to Ferrarichat. Anyone using JMR?

Thanks for the response, I was genuinely curious why you were asking about that brand over the other two. You’ve been registered here for so long, I know you knew about the search function for creek and Noco. I had a feeling you already experienced both of the brands I mentioned and had a reason for not going with them. It’s something I can keep in mind now for the future.

I am on my 2nd Ctek. When it dies, and it will, I am going with Victron. Choose Your Battetry Chargers Carefully!! - Marine How To

Victron are good too, but I've never had the problem described in that article with my Noco's, and I'm running 7 of them. They certainly do maintain charge and do not fully switch off once the battery is full. They are proper battery tenders, not just chargers, there is a difference.

You beat me too it - I just noticed and corrected my reply above!
I never heard of Victron by the way .... regardless, I am buying one of these connectors for my eventual charger purchase.

Victron (Victron Energy) is a Dutch company and is huge in the solar industry. They make power inverters, solar chargers, peripheral solar battery equipment etc. I guess it’s no surprise that they also make conventional battery chargers. They are a quality company making quality products. Although I’ve never used Victron 12v mains powered chargers, I have no doubt they will be good.
