I think the market for classic cars is just soft. Stocks are booming, real estate is booming, you can throw a dart and make money in either case so I think people are sticking to those for now. Dont worry there will be those dreamed of 575s and 599s coming for their cars soon, they're still young.

I think it will even out, head up, then level off. Look at boxers and where they were in the early-mid 2000’s. They may fluctuate a bit now, but IMO you’re dreaming if you think you’ll snag one at $80k again.

A 612 that was very nice also sold at the same auction for <$75K. I couldn't determine that anything was wrong with it by the listing, so maybe it is just a bad venue for Ferraris.

Oddly enough 355s seem to do very well on there which baffles me still.

v8 mass appeal and looks dated enough to look like it can only go up in value.

599's are much better looking in person than in pics IMO.

I'd love to have one...but if I had to sell the 550 to get something, it'd probably be to jump to an F12.

After reading a thread about the 599's electronic shocks, I'm not such a fan anymore. Big PITA if they fail. The F12 is my favorite recent Ferrari, and it's beastly and civilized simultaneously.

F12's are still relatively young...I'm sure they'll have their fair share of "WTF why!?" issues as they age.

Beautiful Ferrari’s are worth the trouble.

The problem with the “gap” cars is that like ugly kids or ugly women, it make the headaches that much harder to take. Frankly, life’s too short. Personally, I’d rather have a busted F12 than a working 599, because you can fix an F12.

    F12 is a much better car than a 599 - by a long way.

You can fix them all. Just takes someone who knows how to do it.

I have driven a few 599s. They are actually fun as hell. If they were not so butt ugly.

My wife like the look of the 599. She says it looks swoopy like the viper gts I used to have. Now have a 575.

I own a 550 and a 599GTO and an F12... also owned but sold a 550 Barchetta ... and to me I love the looks and feels of the 550 but it just does not sound great.. the other two sound fantastic .. I have done all but change the headers on the 550 and truthfully that is one reason I sold the barchetta .... for me the F12 is the best bang buy a lot....
the 599 GTO sounds a little better then the F12.and I really love it .. but the F12.is a fantastic.sound...... so that may hurt the future of 550/575 prices ...

Get some 6-1 headers for your 550 and problem is solved for the most part although to me the 599 and F12 series V12s sound better anyways.

Im not so sure how the F12 will function down the road with all those computers, seems like a nightmare in waiting. I think the 550/575 is the last V12 car without nightmare electronics to fail.

I was going to buy the F12 when it came out, but kept the 575.

I was promised the snow plow option was going to be on the list, for the 599. I have my deposit already on the 1012 expected to be released in 2021. I have worked with the Nssleplortetio companies from Italy and Norway.

We expect thee snow/garbage plow to be on both Volvo and Ferrari by then.

Sweden refused my part offer, so I have to backdoor my snow.
