Wow. Stunning!
You've had your car a short while now - how is the bare finish standing-up and did you do any protection or film on top. Also curious how Ferrari recommend any dings or other damage are handled - or does that become an attractive part of the car's patina as you see some on some of the older Ferraris which had well used lives? It's a finish I'm thinking of doing myself at some point so am keen to learn.
Nice. Don't ever sell it...that is a car special enough to stay in a family and pass down generations imo. Hopefully I can eventually see what it looks like in person if you take it out to a car show at some point. Does anyone know if the Kirkham bare aluminum Cobras get clear on them or PPF? Some don't look like they do and they seem to hold up pretty well.
Just got my monthly drop of Forza.. Amazed at your car Ron! Great idea todo that....but the accent colors you selected are very tasteful. I’m sure enjoying it immensely. Cheers Jason
Hi Ron. Just catching up late to the game here on your amazing vehicle spec. It looks just stellar and so unique. I didn’t see it in the thread after reading it all but I am interested how you came to think of doing this. I’m a bit new in the world on the forum for a half year or more but I never would have considered that as an idea to be done. Was it something the tailor made people had proposed in the past or a totally new thing you had wondered if could be done? It just makes me think what else is out there that could be chosen to do. Pretty sweet vehicle and beautiful photos.
It was suggested to me by Gary at Scottsdale Ferrari. He saw one the elusive 458 Aperta at the factory in 2015.
Congrats Ron for having a magazine report in the history! Would love to have a subscription of Forza!
People will probably disagree, but that aluminium body is a work of art, reminding the glorious era of coachbuilders. It needs to stay in a museum. I would be to afraid to scratch it on roads
More afraid to park it. Don’t worry, I’m blessed enough to be able to drive a Ferrari just about every day. The Tdf is for special occasions.... and Ferrari rallies!
Better late than never! Here is one tiny little addition to my Tdf. Thanks to Traveller I learned Tailor Made can create custom Document holders to match the car. So of course I ordered one after my Tailor Made session. Big mistake as my little pouch was all but forgotten. The car arrived and of course the pouch was that ugly black leather generic one we all get. So thanks to Gary Simon of Scottsdale Ferrari, Elena back at Tailor Made finally read her emails, saw we made that change prior to Red 10 and delivered a thing of beauty to me this week. So here it is, my official Count Prestige leather with matching beige stitching custom leather document pouch! Image Unavailable, Please Login
Ok guess I shld know this but what is that for? To hold the books? Sent from my BBB100-3 using Tapatalk
Last but not least, Amalgam Models just sent me the pictures of their 1/8 scale model! Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
That Count Prestige leather looks wonderful, thank you for sharing all these great details. Now you will have to design something plus extras for your Pista spec?
The Amalgam interior is a disappointment... They should finish the seats and leather details again to be accurate to the gorgeous „one off“ 1:1 interior!
