I read those ‘proposals’ on the F1 website, and thought those aren’t proposals. That’s just aspirational fluff. In order for it to be a proposal, tell me what you are going to do about it.

The PU needs to be simpler, cheaper, louder... OK. How??

Revenue distribution needs to be fairer. OK. How??

Don’t just tell me what you would like to see as a result. Tell me what you’re going to do to get there.

(I have a number of former employees that can attest to how much I lean on that point.)

 

Let me run the sport, I’ll bring back tiny wings, simple aero, big noisy engines and plenty of overtaking, oh, and a ban on anyone driving whose name begins with a Lewis and ends in ilton

Oh, and the grid girls will be back, better and hotter than ever, two to a car minimum, grid boys for the drivers who prefer that sort of thing, and fines for anyone that complains about it

 

Bonus points for drivers that shag the entire crew of stewardesses on their flight to the race venue, throw up behind the garage in the morning, and go on to win the race.

Extra style points for pit stops that include champagne and cigarettes for the drivers while the mechanics work.

And let’s add a little style to those overalls, shall we?
