If Hamilton takes pole it's always funny. He always says it it was on the absolute limit and how perfect it was, and the British media goes gaga and calls it a miracle lap.

Literally every time the man is on the pole. In reality every driver except for maybe Lance Stroll would park that Merc P1.

Race - merc ferrari ferrari red bull. Bottas and Ricciardo suffer issues, bottas circulates around, ricciardo suffers DNF


There we are, unless there’s a snow storm in the desert, or Mercedes strat 14 took too much out of Elton’s engine the other day, merc for another one two qualy, and ferrari to follow them home in the race.

How exciting................ not

Will any of us stay awake to even see the start, let alone the procession/ I mean race, itself

Great shots. It's such a conundrum because seeing the cars like that is super cool but it's also the things hampering the sport.

Does anyone else have the open Shark Fin like the Merc?

I'm most curious if there's been behind the scenes discussion with Merc to tone down the party mode results. I'm sure they said by all means get pole, get the win, but do it in a bit less fantastic fashion. Pretend it's close.

 

......Or do less " sand baggin' " during the race weekend.

Thanks for the pictures but I see nothing to find attractive. All the little aero pieces and the video game steering wheel leave me cold. It is time to reduce technology, and make the drivers get into a basic car and drive it till it collapses. No multi-pieces areo, no adjustments of the engine from the cockpit (except for the throttle)...the body should be just three pieces...nose, tail, center piece with cockpit...no change to front and rear wings, no diffusers, two tires...wet and dry, no hybrid engines....just 2.5 liters, any configuration the teams want and as many as they can afford. And the driver of the last place car should be a human sacrifice to the crowd. Or at least publically flogged.

 

And flogged again to remind him of his failure before the start of the next race

I think Ross B and the FIA should just lay it on the line ..here are the regs from 2020 ,if you don't like it then tough,yes they risk losing Ferrari and Merc .
