    Greetings.
Does anyone know what this code means, B1004? Super lift Failure (AUTEL ELITE SCANNER).

The car is experiencing issues with the lift, and the suspension is occasionally becoming excessively stiff, even in Manettino Low Grip Mode.

    Thanks

Low grip mode? You mean wet mode?

B1004 code…did you pull the battery or any wiring? B1p04 code is a Keep Alive Code and you can get that with.

B1004 from what I’ve read on codes is a code that sets when the keep alive memory is reset. If this is a current code meaning if you clear it and it comes right back again with key off then key back on then the computer setting this code needs replaced.

The computer isnt able to “keep memory” on settings or functions and causes this fault. In some cases it will set when the battery is disconnected which is why I asked if you pulled the battery or maybe it went totally dead.

Also read… DTC B1004, sometimes indicated as B100400 is an OBD diagnostic trouble code indicating a manufacturer-specific fault with the vehicle body. So since your lift is failing this makes sense I think. Something electrical is not right.

Thanks. The battery was replaced because it went dead once. However, the trouble code keeps reappearing after clearing it. Additionally, the suspension is malfunctioning. I work as an Automotive Technician in Puerto Rico, and I typically work with BMW, Mercedes, and other brands, but I have never worked with Ferraris. The owner has Maseratis and Ferraris, and I'm trying to assist him.

Well you’ll have a better chance at solving than me! I’m not a auto tech…

How’s the Ferrari scene in Puerto Rico? I use to have Puerto Rico as part of my sales territory back in the 90’s and again from 2009-2017. Use to visit customers all over the island. I met some awesome people and always had a nice time driving all over. I never saw any exotic cars though.

Have a look at the 458 diagram about the lift system, there is a kit available which might contain some parts. Does to pump have a tank to top up.
