I'm wondering the same thing. I'm going to check with San Francisco Sports car and see who they use. Craig
The guy who detailed my 360 did a phenomenal job! I was REALLY impressed, and I am the most picky ever! Trouble is, I cannot remember his name. I never actually met him. When San Francisco Motorsports serviced my car, they had him detail it then, so just ask SF Motorsports.
SFSC? They don't use a detailer lol.. All their cars are pretty dirty. They are a great dealer but not detailer for sure
You have to call Bob if quality is your main concern, if Price is.......then a local car wash can help. Cheers, GREG
The guy who did Softwaredrone's car is Chris Perry, from C. Perry's Details - 415-595-9567 Great guy - does all of our high-end work. Highly recommend him.
Try Ryan Woodler at Magic Detailing, (510) 248-9222. He can come to your location and take care of what you need. I had him detail few Ferraris and other Exotics. He does a great Job and is very reasonably priced.
California Detailing did my black Porsche and made it look new. About $450. My black Stradale will go there this summer. http://www.californiadetailing.com/
Yeah it may not be the most original name nor is the driveway great (take it at an angle) but of the 5 I've tried, California Detailing is the best. And by a pretty good margin to boot.
Bob Willis is the only guy in the Bay Area that I would now pay money to detail my car. I'm not sure anyone else around here would do a better job than I can. Bob is the best around. You know it is going to turn out perfect.
Ditto. Bob Willis is the only person I have detailing my cars. Usually after he's done I hate driving it, it's just so damn clean. I brought my car to him off the lot after purchase and when he was done it looked better than brand new.
Depends on the condition of your car. My car needed some extra TLC and the number I got was approximately $6K. Don't get me wrong I think he is excellent but that was a little too rich for my blood.
I don't want to "kill" his opportunity to deliver quotes that high but I'm wonder what the heck you needed done? He can usually knock out a Concours level detail on most any exotic car in two days. Was yours some crazy "you wanted to win Best of Show at Pebble" type detail? I don't have as many data points as others but Ive never heard of Bob charging that much. He bills out a flat shop rate. I think $75 per hour. Your job he quoted had to have been, what, an 80 hour job? That's 10 straight 8 hour days! And knowing Bob he probably thought it would take more hours but billed it at that? What were you having him do?
Less than $2k every quote he has given me. But my cars aren't total messes to begin with. Again, it comes down to an hourly rate. If he thinks it will take 3 days of work, plan for 24 hours x $75.
Hi Husker, you have seen my car. I was just looking for a good detail and touchup on a few chips; I was not entering any shows. He spent quite a bit of time going over the car and as mentioned, I suspect that he thought it would take that much time or more. And yes, his shop rate is reasonable. I am not blaming a guy for being in business, I am just saying that is the number I received. Your mileage may vary.
i wonder if the higher price is due to extra hands that bob brings these days. anyways, my comment is not to probe into his business practice, just wanted to learn more about his service and approximate cost.
If you haven't found one yet, I know a guy who only details Ferrari and he has pulled some miracles on compromised paint. Only catch is it's a bit of a wait.
you guessed it. But they let him work on the cars in the prison guard parking lot. Man, SV you are on a roll tonight! Why don't you join us for a drive?
