    Geez, Gayry. I was up in Alice Springs today for the first time in months and there would be at least 50 Cathay aircraft parked in the storage area.

    I couldn’t believe how many there were. Overall there must be nearly 100 airliners parked there now. :(

    Wouldn’t really work with a phone camera - too far away from where we park to get much idea.

    I did briefly consider taking one just after takeoff but decided to fly the aircraft instead. :p

    Yeah I know Steve…They were on the 60 Minutes Covid story last sunday…I think there are around 40 777s parked nose to tail…Very sad sight!….

    Wow. Not good, but hopefully some light on the horizon.

    There were a few Singapore A380s.
    Some QF330s, dozens of 777s (mainly Cathay) and more narrow-bodies of all types than I could count.

    I think around 150 Jets in total…I’m hoping to fly one of the 777s out before my Adelaide at the end of the month….

    Very fortunate that he was instrument rated, and even then he nearly lost it a couple of times.

    If he wasn’t he wouldn’t have survived that little adventure.

    Good on him for posting that - some good lessons / reminders for any private pilot.
