I've had the 296 gts for a few weeks and never see the steering wheel leds light up, except when starting the car. I mostly drive below 6000rpm.
At what rpm should leds show? The shift lights option is enabled in the settings/car.

You’ll just need more revs, take your time getting there, more revs= more power. You can do it with a part/ light/ throttle application and youll see the LEDs coming on. The Ferrari engines are known for making more power with very high revs. The 296 makes a ton of power everywhere because of the electric and then the turbo, but most at higher RPMs- like every Ferrari.

I was wondering the same thing when I got my GTB and kept the revs below 5K during the break-in period. After the break-in period, I noticed the lights appearing at around 7K but can't be absolutely sure.

Thanks for the replies. Mine is at almost 800 miles now, so outside of break-in period. Do you rev to 7000 rpm in first gear?

I don't really look at the revs when I switch. I usually go by feel and sound. I usually gear up before 7k at the lower gears - say 1st and 2nd gears - and rev higher in 3rd gear and higher. Again, I switch gears based on feel and sound.

Dumb question - with the red and blue LEDs are the red ones to indicate RPM approaching redline / shift indication and the blues hitting redline and time to shift?
