Thinking of painting my valve covers while the engine is out for the 15k service, has anyone used this paint? If so did color match? Also thinking of painting intake manifolds, any suggestions on what silver to use? My car is a 93 512TR, thanks Tommy

I use it all the time, looks great. Color goes on looking too orange but dries to the correct red. Just did a set of 355 cam covers Friday. Three heavy coats about ten minutes apart then I blow them off with a heat gun for a half hour or so.

I also used VHT wrinkle paint -it's quite easy to use, just make sure the temperature of the parts you want to paint is high enough.

But I don't think the colour is wrong - the "old red" is getting dirty and dark ... have to look, perhaps I have some picture!

Always very nice to see .... did you apply any more coating over the red ? (Maybe a hard clear, extra coating ?)
