    FWIW, these things have become collectible in their own right. They are very well engineered cars with a rigid multi tube spaceframe chassis designed by Indy car designer Bob Webb. And the GRP bodywork is strengthened by a steel cowl brace and steel door inners. And better yet, they are not copies of a Ferrari California Spyder - not a single mold was taken off of a Ferrari. The Modena Design/Precision Design/Renucci CalSpyder is an original design with styling influences and inspiration from period Ferrari, Maserati, and Alfa spyders.

    None the less, that is a LOT of money!
