https://collectingcars.com/for-sale/1978-ferrari-512-bb I wonder how much it would cost to bring it up to a good standard?
Chassis/underside looks corroded in the video. The auction description manages to avoid mentioning that the car has been on the track (towing eye, 4 point harness, tilted rev counter). I would guess less money would be more wisely spent on a good useable example at £220k or one fully rebuilt by a European specialist at around £300k.
I believe this is a "nice candidate for a total restoration" car. Newman will be able to estimate a figure, but it will under all circumstances be a substantial amount of money. My guess is more than half the buying price. DIY will make sense. Best, Peter
Someone will hopefully enjoy the process of restoring it. The alternative is to drive it as is and just live with the flaws. It appears nice on the outside, so could be a fair driver. The price, I think, reflects the cars condition. As always, there are seldom cheap Ferrari's to pick up. Best, Peter
